David
lived a generous lifestyle. Araunah
freely offered King David whatever he wanted so he could offer up burnt
offerings.(an
Old
Testament practice).to
God. David, being of a generous mind said:.2Samuel
24:24 "Nope! I will pay you for it. I do not want to offer to God anything
that cost me nothing."
It is all a matter of whether
one is sincere in wanting to follow Emmanuel's
sayings.(*);
that means, being in alignment
with what the Creator is.
Look after the less fortunate
as best you can and don't be out to fight and change things you may think
need to be changed in the world, as overall, they are all working out according
to what God determines. Trust the plan of God. But do stand up for your
rights. An important
reason why. Stand up for your
rights, but wisely so?.Romans
12:18 "If it be possible, as much as lies in you, live peaceably with
all men."
It's easy to live peaceably
if one is trusting in God for God's help, as these
examples show:.Proverbs
21:1 "The king's heart is in the hand of the Lord. As the rivers of
water, he turns it whithersoever he will."
The Creator will look after
you within any system you may be living under.(Jeremiah
27:11,; 22:3,13;
24:5-7;
38:2;
39:17,18;
40:1-7;
2Samuel
14:14; Job 5:15; Isaiah
46:4; Psalms

Matthew

9:8), even
in
famine and protect you.
Creator-God deeply
cares for you and cares about about who and what you care about:.Philippians
4:6,7.
Matthew
23:37 "O Jerusalem, Jerusalem that kills the prophets and stones those
which are sent unto you, how often would I have gathered your children
together, even as a hen gathers her chickens under her wings but you would
not!".Jeremiah
44:16,17. Same thing today.
Creator-God is your
sustainer. But, you have your part in it too:.Amos
5:13; Habakkuk 2:20; 1Peter
2:13; Hebrews 13:17.
Matthew
6:19-21,30-34 "Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon Earth, where
moth and rust does corrupt and where thieves break through and steal. But
lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven where neither moth nor rust does
corrupt and where thieves do not break through nor steal, for where your
treasure is there will your heart be also...Wherefore, if God so clothe
the grass of the field which to day is and tomorrow is cast into the oven,
shall he not much more clothe you O you of little faith? Therefore take
no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal
shall we be clothed? For after all these things do the Gentiles.(physically
{selfishly} minded people in Old Testament times; applies today to those
of ordinary {low} consciousness).seek.
For your heavenly Father knows that you have need of all these things.
But seek you first the kingdom of God and
his
righteousness and all these things shall be added unto you. Take therefore
no thought for the morrow, for the morrow shall take thought for the things
of itself.
Sufficient
unto the day is the evil thereof." Luke
12:27-31 "Consider the lilies how they grow. They toil not, they spin
not, and yet I say unto you that Solomon
in all his glory was not arrayed
like one of these. If then God so clothe the grass, which is today in the
field and tomorrow is cast into the oven, how much more will he clothe
you O you of little faith? And seek not you what
you shall eat or what you shall drink, neither be you of doubtful.(original
means 'thinking that the Infinite One would provide is not true').mind.
For all these things do the nations of the world seek after and your Father
knows that you have need of these things. But rather seek you the kingdom
of God and all these things shall be added unto you." Psalms
40:4 "Blessed is that man that makes the Lord his trust and respects
not the proud, nor such as turn
aside to lies."
Or, look after the things
selfishly concerning the self, as explained herein and you're sacrificing
an extremely high reward for yourself. Your
choice!
One can try to have it all
now' and 'get it all in order' for the self now, or use faith in trusting
what Emmanuel said about caring for you while you care for others.(Hebrews
13:3).and
by that, get a high reward that is everlasting.
When a man is broke, he can
count his friends and his
dates on his thumb! Be thankful for that! When you are down and out,
something always turns up and it is usually the noses of your friends!
Wealthy people are never bothered by the friends they had when they were
poor because then they had no friends!
When goods increase so do
friends, who may be there more for what you have than for what you are.
And some want even these 'friends'
around them as they do the goods they acquire: Ecclesiastes
5:11.
Some people take more pride
in possessions than in character:.James
4:14. Such is selfishness.
I have seen
cliques
in churches, to the exclusion of the poorer brethren
and others in need, by a few who would rather stroke their equals than
uplift those they obviously consider
to be otherwise. Christ is not ashamed of any of us:.Hebrews
2:11; 11:16.
Matthew
5:46-48 "For if you love them which love you, what reward have you?
Do not even the publicans the same? And if you salute your brethren only,
what do you more than others? Do not even the publicans
so? Be.(know
that you now are).you
therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect.".Being
in a state of perfection has to do with going beyond loving just those
who love you.
The why
of giving is critical. Never give begrudgingly.
It you cannot give, whatever.–.your
money, your self.–.happily
in faith, don't; as it will do nothing towards your reward:.1Corinthians
13:2.
Some spend more time and
money on their "molten images", outward appearances and selfish concerns
like "I just have to get myself right before I can have a relationship":.Jeremiah
2:11; 2Corinthians 10:7.
Selfish concerns are used to absolve
one of the needs of others:.Jeremiah
10:15;
Matthew 23:11; Luke
22:27.
Many concern themselves with
the things one feels are important to be highly esteemed in the eyes of
others who think similarly:.Matthew
23:4-6; Mark 12:38,39; Luke
16:15; John 5:44.
Some may not be fully aware
that this life is just a step to prepare for the next:.1Corinthians
15:19; John 20:29; Mark
8:36. Perhaps they are expecting to live eternally in the physical.
By looking to Emmanuel, letting
in love and progressing in trust, we head toward the high calling of God:.Philippians
3:14;.Hebrews
13:21 "Make you perfect in every good work to do his will, working
in you that which is well pleasing in his sight, through Emmanuel the Christ....."
Many spiritual persons agree
wholeheartedly with this and do realize that the way to be pure in soul
is to get their mind off of selfish concerns and seek to help others:.1Peter
1:22;
Luke 8:15;.Hebrews
10:16 "This is the covenant that I will make with them after those
days, says the Lord, I will put my laws into their hearts and in their
minds will I write them." 1John 5:2-5
"By this we know that we love the children
of God, when we love God and keep his commandments. For this is the
love of God, that we keep his commandments and his commandments are not
grievous. For whatsoever is born of God overcomes
the world.(1John
2:16; Revelation 21:7).and
this is the victory that overcomes the world, even our faith.(we
see the value of the next life, and this helps us overcome the things we
are so selfish about:.1Corinthians
15:54,55). Who is he that overcomes
the world, but he that believes
that Emmanuel is the Son of God?".That's
why Christ came not to condemn, but rather too
ensure that we make it!
How do we fulfil the law
and what law?.Matthew
7:12.
And John
15:10-20. It is saying that if you love one another it may take a little
sacrifice on your part. Loving and caring for others may be laborious,
taking effort:.1Thessalonians
1:3.(talks
of a work of faith).
The Creator will know you
if you love Him:.1Corinthians
8:3; Zechariah 1:3. And
its converse
is true. God will answer you if you build your belief
upon the ability to believe that He has given you in the first place.
The world.(friends,
neighbors, etc.).may
hate.(love
less by comparison).and
persecute.(original
Greek can also mean 'to cause to to flee from them' – they don't want any
more to do with you; you're no longer one of them; they look down on you).you.
They may think: "What are you, nuts?.1Peter
4:4. What with selling your big expensive house and car", so that you
are better able to help another?.John
14:21,24;
13:34.
