Most see only the
physical life and their security here, seeing faith as a distant
ethereal.concept.
Christ, when on Earth in
the physical form of the one called Emmanuel,
was focused on the things of the Kingdom of God, the realm
of the Creator, also called the kingdom of heaven:.Matthew
6:20,21, 24-34; Luke
18:22; Matthew 19:21. Also Luke
9:24,25; 1Peter 1:18,19; Mark
10:30. His teaching was for us to follow
His example of good.(what
is 'good'?):.1John
2:6 "He that says he abides in him ought
himself also to walk, even as he walked."
Realizing the waste of excessive.indulgence
to accumulate
things for this life helps get the next life into
perspective:.Isaiah
2:20 "In that day a man casts his idols of silver and his idols of
gold, which they made each one for himself to worship, to the moles and
to the bats." Isaiah 17:10,11
"Because you have forgotten the God of your salvation and have not been
mindful of the rock of your strength, therefore shall you plant pleasant
plants and shalt set it with strange slips.
In the day shalt you make your plant to grow and in the morning shall you
make your seed to flourish, but the harvest shall be a heap in the day
of grief and of desperate sorrow.".Your
work doesn't turn out:.Haggai
1:5,6.
It's the things
of the spirit that count for things eternal. In this, the One we call
Emmanuel left us an example.
The Infinite One has set
frequencies up, invisible laws, if
you will, that judge us all the time. So, in this way we are
constantly judging ourselves, for in the spiritual realm there are none
judging us. The true motivations of the heart cannot be hid. All is
frequencies and frequencies can produce good or evil. This is the deeper
meaning of reaping what we
have sown.
One can tell if someone,
an individual, a government department or other corporation cares:.John
12:8; Matthew 7:16,20. Observe
if
involvement
with them makes things better or worse, easier or increasingly difficult?
If what they are producing leads to help, healing, love and kindness, then
it's good. If it tends toward
hate, intolerance, hurts in some way against humanity, then, is that information
needed? Here one can use Ask Suby.
There are many tricks.(Amos
5:12).to
keep the poor and the needy at
bay, but Emmanuel when on
Earth saw it differently:.Mark
14:7; Psalms 109:31.
Obviously many today are
not of Christian mind like
the early church was when there was much poverty that God allowed so
the true character of people had an opportunity to be expressed:.Acts
11:28-30; Romans 15:25-28;
1Corinthians
16:1-4; 2Corinthians 9:11-13;
Galatians
2:10.
Deuteronomy
15:11 "For the poor shall never cease out of the land, therefore I
command you, saying, You shall open your hand wide unto your brother, to
your poor and to your needy in your land."
Results in life from the
presence in life we all individually have, judge the true motivations of
the heart that are behind each of us, what it is that we
really
are, a generous person or a controller for
greed:.Romans
2:16;.Proverbs
30:14 "There is a generation, whose teeth are as swords and their jaw
teeth as knives, to devour the
poor from off the Earth and the needy from among men."
Psalms
41:1 "...Blessed is he that considers the poor. The Lord will deliver
him in time of trouble."
Proverbs
14:21 "He that despises his neighbour sins, but he that has mercy on
the poor, happy is he."
Proverbs
28:27 "He that gives unto the poor will not lack, but he that hides
his eyes has many a curse."
Proverbs
29:7 "The righteous considers the cause of the poor. But the wicked
regards not to know it." Those that don't
care have been influenced by the dark
side.
Galatians
2:10 "Only they would that we should remember the poor, the same which
I also was forward to do. Be not servants of men."
Deuteronomy
15:11 "For the poor never cease out of the land. Therefore I command
you, saying, open your hand wide.(one
way how).unto
your brother, to your poor and to your needy, in your land..."
Mark
14:7 "For you have the poor with you always and whenever you can, do
them good...".The
poor are there to do good too, so they won't be poor any more.
Psalms
112:9 "He has dispersed, he has given to the poor; his righteousness
endures for ever; his horn shall be exalted with honour."
Proverbs
11:24,25 "There is that scatters and yet increases and there is that
withholds more than is meet.(fitting),
but it tends to poverty. The liberal soul shall be made fat and he that
waters shall be watered also himself."
Isaiah
58:10 "And if you draw out your soul to the hungry and satisfy the
afflicted soul, then shall your light rise in obscurity and your darkness
be as the noonday."
Isaiah
60:1 "Arise, shine, for your light is come and the glory of the Lord
is risen upon you."
Leviticus
25:35 "And if your brother be waxen poor and fallen in decay with you.(among
you), then you shall relieve him. Yea,
though he be a stranger, or a sojourner, that he may live with you."
Matthew
25:34-40 "...Come, you blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared
for you from the foundation of the world. For I was an hungred and you
gave me food. I was thirsty and you gave me drink. I was a stranger and
you took me in. Naked and you clothed me. I was sick and you visited me.
I was in prison and you came unto me. Then shall the righteous answer him,
saying, Lord, when did we see you hungry and fed you? or thirsty and gave
you drink? When did we see you as a stranger and took you in? or naked
and clothed you? Or when did we see you sick or in prison and came unto
you? And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you,
Inasmuch as you have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren,
you have done it unto me."
The ancient Mosaic
Law had legislation regarding the poor being specially important.
Every seven years all debts
were released from obligation to pay: Deuteronomy
15:1-6.
And in the year of jubilee.(Leviticus
25:10-17).they
recovered their property:.Leviticus
25:25-30.
Every seventh year, called
a sabbatical year, the poor were to have their share of the produce of
the fields and the vineyards:.Exodus
23:10,11.
And in the sabbatical year
and jubilee years the servant was to go free and supplied.generously:.Deuteronomy
15:12-18; Leviticus 25:39-43.
The poor had the right of
gleaning
the fields:.Leviticus
19:9,10; Deuteronomy
24:19-21.
Usury
was forbidden and any pledged.raiment
was to be returned before the Sun went down:.Exodus
22:25-27; Deuteronomy
24:10-13.
The rich were to be generous
to the poor:.Deuteronomy
15:7-11.
Certain portions from the
tithes
required under this Mosaic Law were assigned to the poor:.Deuteronomy
14:28,29.
In the New Testament we have
similar injunctions
given with reference
to the poor:.Luke
3:10,11; 14:12-14; Galatians
2:10; James 2:15,16.
Job
was a man who had concern for others. He had very great wealth and was
the greatest man in all the east at that time:.Job
1:3.
He helped the poor, the fatherless,
was concerned about others and their possible suicide, cared for widow's
children.(no
doubt provided finances),
was involved in humanitarian effort, made a conscious effort to find the
poor, wanted fairness for everybody, and stood up for justice.(Job
29:11-17).and
so
should we.
The Creator cares for the
poor:.Psalms
72:12-14. He regards extremely highly how we treat the poor.(Ezekiel
18:8,13,17; Job 24:2-9).and
those
who may be in debt to us.
A person meeting with Emmanuel
was offered a place to be right along with Him, yet turned it down and
turned down a place for Emmanuel to stay, his mind being more on the concerns
of his own lifestyle:.Luke
9:57-62 "And it came to pass, that, as they went in the way, a certain
man said unto him, Lord, I will follow thee whithersoever thou goest. And
Emmanuel said unto him, Foxes have holes, and birds of the air have nests,
but the Son of man hath not where to lay his head. And he said unto another,
Follow me. But he said, Lord, suffer me first to go and bury my father.(wait
until my father dies; in other words, give me a few months to wrap things
up). Emmanuel said unto him, Let the
dead bury their dead.(why
did Emmanuel seem so harsh?), but go
thou and preach.(teach,
publish,
get the message to others so they can be helped).the
kingdom of God. And another also said, Lord, I will follow thee; but let
me first go bid them farewell, which are at home at my house. And Emmanuel
said unto him, No man, having put his hand to the plough, and looking back,
is fit for the kingdom of God."
Sadly, it is often a case
of 'my security and affairs first', my idols first, with some who use the
Christian name. Part of our efforts should be to help provide for others
in our family and neighborhood:.Ephesians
4:28 ".....But rather let him labour, working with his hands the thing
which is good, that he may have to give to him that needs."
What did Emmanuel have to
say about the perversion
of self security and what seems to be an obsession with quite a few people
these days who lack knowledge of their
ego, that is, that their ego is running and ruining their life, edging
God out, disabling their minds from spiritual links that would take them
into a.realm
of high consciousness.
Many people force themselves
out of their present situation in order to pursue the quest of 'finding
themselves':.Proverbs
18:2 "A fool has no delight in understanding,
but that his heart may discover itself.(the
try everything people limited only by what they can spend)."
Matthew
10:39 "He that finds.(original
Greek is 'to find by thought, examination and scrutiny after searching').his
life shall lose it and he that loses his life for My sake.(and
'what's
His sake' mean?), shall find.(same
original).it.".Seeking
for your life to be established by ego means
is futile is
what the verse means. But where
does one really 'find themselves'?
People rely on their egos
so much, they submerge even the slightest hint their
soul gives them. And the worst part is, they don't know it..To
get on the track to spiritual unfoldment.
You find your self when
you find the love of the universe.
Today we say "I'm just
not
ready for a relationship. Give me some more time". Answer "Yea, sure
honey! A year from now I'll be different and so will you – see yuh 'round!"
What Emmanuel is saying
is that without Him in one's life, we will just never 'get it all together'
the way we hope for. When you are in Emmanuel, you have got it together
now! Now, what does it mean to 'be in Him'?
Many are never ready, as
they are never satisfied.2Peter
3:3 "Knowing this first, that there shall come in the last days scoffers.(original
'those who play games, mockers'),
walking.(living).after.(according
to).their
own lusts.(original
is 'desires'; in other words 'a selfish
lifestyle', for desire of itself is good as it's the mother of all
progress including spiritual progress - if you don't desire to be kind,
how can you become kind?)." Habbukuk
2:4.
2Peter
1:3,4 "According as his divine power has given unto us all things.(now).that
pertain
unto life and Godliness, through the knowledge of him that has called us
to glory and virtue.
Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises that by
these you might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption
that is in the world through lust.".It
means we inordinately
focus upon that which is subject to perishing – the physical:.Luke
9:24 "For whosoever will save.(word
'save' here means 'to preserve or rescue from danger, prosper, etc.).his
life shall lose it. But whosoever will lose his life for my sake, the same
shall save it." Luke 17:33 "Whosoever
shall.('shall',
not in original Greek or Hebrew anywhere).seek
to save his life shall lose it; and whosoever shall lose his life shall
preserve it."
And what did Emmanuel say
about looking after us.Luke
9:56 "For the Son of Man is not come to destroy men's lives, but to
save.(word
'save' here, is the same original Greek word as the word 'save' in above
two scriptures).them....."
